Vista users must turn off UAC (User Account Controls) in order to use MailCloak.

Turning off UAC

Windows XP users, Please disregard this Vista-only help page.

Note: To perform the following procedure, you must be able to log on with or provide the credentials of a member of the "Local Administrators" group.

  1. Launch MSCONFIG from the Run menu.
  2. Click on the Tools tab. Scroll down till you find "Disable UAC."
  3. Click "Disable UAC".image:disableUAC1.png
  4. Press the Launch button.
  5. A command line window will open and execute a script. When the script is done, you can close the window.
  6. Close MSCONFIG and reboot.
